This Week’s Eats — 11/5 Edition


I’m sensing a trend in my Monday menus here… convenience is the way to go! Because we didn’t feel like handing out candy to 300+ kids for Halloween and didn’t have enough rocks to go around, we got a pizza from Papa John’s and watched our recording of “Amazing Race” in the basement instead. I forgot the camera upstairs, so no picture of our dinner in a box. On to the rest of the week…

Sausage Skillet Supper

The “inspiration” for this dinner came from Betty Crocker’s Sausage Skillet Supper. I tweaked it by adding mushrooms, cutting up the sausage, using cheddar, and keeping the broccoli on the side, as it didn’t fit in the skillet.

As the weather turned cooler and windier, this week was all about warmth and comfort. Nothing fancy; nothing spectacular. It was everyday perfect.
